La Demeure Tranquille was recently announced as the winner of the Home Builders Association of SC Pinnacle Award for the best new home in the $3.5-5 million category. This custom design + build home is 7,806 square-feet and features 6 bedrooms, and 6 full and 2 half bathrooms. The interior design of the home was performed by Lauren Heather Design Studio and the cabinets were designed and made by Nicholas James Fine Woodworking.
This New England farmhouse-style custom home is a luxurious take on the classic American style. The grand entry has a formidable limestone surround that forms a classic archway, welcoming guests into the home. The entryway leads to a spacious Great Room with a Francois fireplace, which features distinct circular and arched design elements.
Moving from the great room to the kitchen, a lightwell connects the spaces, allowing natural light to brighten the kitchen area. The main bedroom features a luxurious master closet with custom cabinetry, gorgeous lighting, and a deluxe changing bench. On the other side of the main bedroom is “her” office. The beautiful office features intricate ceiling details and an inviting lake view.
The lower-level of the home is perfect for relaxing and socializing. It features a second living room and fireplace, a rec room area, a large gym, a home bar, and “his” office. The gym area is complete with a full range of workout equipment. The home bar is a cozy area to relax, kick back, and enjoy one’s favorite beverage.
The exterior of the house features a Da Vinci roof and a façade of ashlar-cut stone to add to the home’s classic look. The windows feature muntins to make the home feel more private and cozier. The twin garages face each other and feature vehicle lifts to fit an extensive car collection.
The scope of this project was full residential design, and full management of custom, new construction. It included the bid process, selection, and supervision of all subcontractors.
